The winless Northern Illinois Huskies (0-7) have endured a brutal opening campaign, ranking near the bottom of the FBS in both total offense (15.1 PPG) and defense. Transfer quarterback Taron Dickens has struggled to get the passing attack off the ground behind an offense that will find it hard to crack UNLV's defense. The UNLV Rebels (4-3) are coming off a bye week, Dan Mullen's squad is looking to rebound from a road loss to Air Force and keep their Mountain West title hopes alive. UNLV enters with a distinct advantage on both sides of the ball against an overmatched opponent, averaging 24.1 points per game while facing a Northern Illinois defense that surrenders 38.6 points per game. The Rebels get a comfortable double-digit win and cover over the Huskies at home.

USC is 2-6 ATS this season and has not played all that well in their marquee games. The Trojans managed just seven points against Wisconsin and lost to Oregon earlier in the season. Ohio State has covered five of its seven games. The Buckeyes are 11th in total offense and seventh in total defense. The Trojans are 77th in pass defense and 78th in scoring defense. If I had any faith in the USC defense, I would take the points at home, but I don't.

No matter how you slice it, it’s never easy to lay nearly two-touchdowns in college football. However, if you are going to do it, this would be the game to pull the trigger on. Wake Forest is playing some great football winning six of their seven outings straight up and covering five of those outings in a row. They took last year’s meeting on the road, 16-9. They have dominated this rivalry taking six of the last seven overall matchups with Virginia, both SU/ATS. Speaking of the Cavaliers, they are point spread poison, failing to cover four consecutive contests. They’ve also dropped three of the last four outings SU, as well. They don’t travel well as they have yet to be victorious as a visitor in 2026. After this week, Wake Forest has a “gimmee” game before taking it on the road against SMU and Georgia Tech and then finishing up their regular season at home against Duke. They need every victory they can get. I look for the Demon Deacons and their explosive offense which ranks 17th in the nation averaging 37.4 PPG, and rarely making mistakes, to absolutely pick apart the overrated defense of the Cavaliers. On the flipside, I doubt very much Virginia is going to light up the scoreboard here against one of the stingiest and nastiest run defenses in college football, and an overall stop-unit which allows just 19.4 PPG. This game will get out of hand. Take Wake Forest. Thank you.

The Razorbacks showed some life last week with their road upset of Vanderbilt. The previous week they played Tennessee tough before losing by 7 in the end. Missouri comes off a bye after getting throttled by Ole Miss two weeks ago. This game is usually played on rivalry weekend, but not this year Take the points with the home team who is getting over double digits.

We really like home favorite in this matchup. Army (5-2) has won three straight, but they've been living on the edge, needing a 50-yard field goal on the final play to escape Tulsa 38-35 last week. Now the Black Knights are on the road for a second straight week, and their offense depends heavily on their quarterback's legs.

Memphis (6-2) has been at its best at home, and its offense can score in bunches. They put up 59 at Charlotte and pulled away from UAB 38-13 behind a strong run game and a quarterback who has thrown for five touchdowns in a game this season. The Tigers had their own hiccup in a six-turnover loss at Tulane, but when they protect the ball, they can stretch the field in ways Army's defense struggles to match.

A more explosive Memphis offense at home against an Army team coming off an emotional last-second road win sets Memphis up to take control.
