FanDuel Sportsbook Review: My Expert Rating On Their Online Betting App
- 16+ sports covered, as well as individual leagues and events
- Up to $350 in bonus bets available in many US states
- User friendly betting tools for advance and in play betting
The first time I landed on FanDuel's sportsbook, it had the kind of energy that immediately grabs your attention β fast, confident, and clearly built to perform.
This is a platform designed with intuitive features that put you firmly in the driver's seat, and my FanDuel review breaks down exactly how it delivers. If you're also exploring your options, check out our guide to the best betting sites for a broader look at the market. Below, I explore the depth of its betting markets, the latest promotions on offer, and the range of payment methods available. Let's dive in.

FanDuel's website is straightforward and has everything you need at your fingertips β no need to trawl through gimmicks and flashy designs to find what you want. The app is easy-to-use too, but it's also combined with the casino, so less sports-focussed.
It generally offers competitive odds on American leagues, but international events can be hit and miss. Overall, this is a slick sportsbook with some exciting markets, with great live streaming and live betting options alongside timely payouts and extremely responsive customer support. FanDuel is a solid choice for casual sports fans and serious sports bettors alike.
First impressions of FanDuel Sportsbook - a user friendly gem
As I said already, the first time I encountered FanDuel, the excitement hit me like a ton of bricks. Why? Well, for starters, FanDuel's main landing page separates its sportsbook, DFS and casino offerings onto entirely separate tabs. So, I was majorly impressed to have a sports only hub to play around with - which is rare. Then, once I was in, totally floored, because its design just makes sense.
Straight off the bat, this sportsbook felt like home β with everything any serious sports bettor needs within easy arm's reach, and no unnecessary distractions, bizarre theming quirks, or irrelevant ads for non-sportsbook promos getting in the way.
Minimalism rules the roost here. Case in point, the sportsbook's top toolbar has just three buttons β "Home", "My Bets" and "Promotions" β which my FanDuel Sportsbook review found sit atop small, understated promo ads and quick links to hot all-American markets like the NFL, NBA and NCAAF.
I soon learned that you won't have to faff about with any collapsible betting slip buttons, either, because the entire right-hand side of the screen is locked off and reserved for your slip even before you start making any selections. While instead of a fiddly pop-out menu, the left-hand pane features quick links organized by whatever's most "Popular" among FanDuel's user base β which is about as logical as kicking the extra point after a touchdown, am I right?
Usability wise, then, FanDuel's locked and loaded.
A bit about FanDuel's betting app
If you're a sports nut who hates computers and would rather drop your bets from an iPhone or tablet, I've some news for you β FanDuel has an app, too. Although it does bundle the brand's sportsbook and casino services together under the same umbrella, so don't come expecting it to be as sports centric as their website.
The app, which has reeled in sensational review averages of 4.9-stars on the App Store and 4.6 on Google Play since its launch, is a breeze to use. And it offers all the same user-friendly features you'll find on FanDuel Sportsbook's site, too.
My FanDuel review found that its shrunken down buttons are a good fit for most finger sizes, while its auto-resized icons slot nicely into the smaller layout, too.
Aside from having a slightly darker color scheme on certain pages, everything's basically identical to the original site, functionality wise β meaning that creating and editing your slips is a cinch, live betting is equally easy, and there's a ton of exciting parlays, props and the like just a couple of clicks away. And boy, are there a lot of betting options over hereβ¦
My deep dive review of FanDuel's Sportsbook offerings
Ready for me to skip to the good bit already? Here's what I made of FanDuel's actual sportsbook offeringsβ¦
Sports markets
Market wise, this sportsbook is about as balanced and diverse as the Denver Nuggets' 2024/25 starting five β with all the right heavy hitters in all the right places.
In my state, I spied such essential leagues as the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, NCAAF and the NCAAB in the running. Although the availability of some of these may vary in yours, depending on local laws. I also had access to top soccer tournaments, tennis grand slams and horse racing, too, as well as PGA Tour golf events and even major UFC fight nights. If you want expert analysis to back up your wagers, check out our Free Predictions across all major sports.
In most legal US states, all bases are covered then, basically. And live betting is a standard staple of the FanDuel experience, too β as is live streaming during major events. Although you might want to give the brand's separate FanDuel TV app a download to get in on that last part.
Odds and competitiveness
In short, FanDuel is legit one of the best sportsbooks around when it comes to coverage, then. But are its odds equally exhilarating?
Well, I felt the numbers were competitive across most major leagues to be fair, with a 4.8% vig and a ton of odds boost promotions for the taking during all the right seasons.
Having said that, international events β like Premier League soccer, for example β do occasionally post less attractive numbers than homegrown American stuff, with high volume leagues like the NBA and NFL generally tightest, particularly on live and in-play bets. Our NFL Predictions page can help you spot value before placing your wagers.
Naturally, the numbers and markets offered may vary depending on which of FanDuel's states from their green list you're betting from. Although one thing I can tell you is that most folk here can bet from just $0.09 on most sports. Which, yet again, is dead competitive.
Standout features
There's a lot to love about FanDuel's user friendly sportsbook β but some of my personal favorite features for the taking here include:
| FanDuel TV | A dedicated sports streaming channel that integrates beautifully with the brandβs sportsbook app and live betting options, with a side serving of additional content and analysis, of course. |
| Same Game Parlays | Over the years, FanDuelβs played a huge part in popularizing this type of single slip, single game multi betting, which is easier to sink your teeth into than it sounds. |
| Parlay Hub | A dedicated page pre-loaded with popular parlays that you can replicate yourself with a single click. |
While as you might've already heard, the site's promos have a reputation for being big, generous and easy to work with, too β like the bonus equivalent of LeBron James.
Top promos at FanDuel Sportsbook
By and large, FanDuel reserves its best promos for first timers β which is great news if you're a FanDuel newbie. Although it is important to note here that the offers up for grabs do vary on a state by state basis. For more information on sportsbook bonuses, check out our sportsbook welcome bonuses guide.
FanDuel Sportsbook welcome offer
At the time of writing, the brand's latest and greatest sign-up promo in my region was offering up toΒ $350 in Bonus Bets Guaranteed - When You Bet $5 for 7 Days, without any FanDuel promo code requirement. But I'd advise checking out my latest bonus review if you want to enjoy the site's sign-up promo for your region to the fullest. It covers all bases, dos and don'ts-wise.

Other promos for longer-term punters
A lot like I found in my recent Caesars review, FanDuel offers plenty of avenues for reeling in rewards as a loyal, longer-term bettor.
That said, their widely advertised FanDuel Casino Rewards Club, which is geared entirely toward casino players, ain't available to US sportsbook users at the time of writing, I'm afraid β so, you'll need to instead turn your attention to the following promos my FanDuel Sportsbook review uncovered in their place:
- Refer a friend promo β which was offering up to $50 in bonus bets per referral at the time of writing.
- Parlay promos β which are frequently rotated via the site's "Rewards Hub".
- "Bet Protect" offers β which return player props stakes as bonus bets if your player exits a game early.
- Bet boosts β which offer up to 30% extra on selected NFL, NBA or MLB games during promotional periods.
Of course, all the above promos may vary from state to state again. But generally, the site serves up plenty of promo potential for existing punters no matter where you are. For a full look at what's available across the industry, our sportsbook promo codes page is worth bookmarking. And the site's got a reputation that'd put Travis Kelce to shame, too.
FanDuel is legit β and here's why
FanDuel's roots date back all the way to 2009. And today, it's a household name in sports betting β particularly here in the US, where the site's sportsbook is legal in a market leading 25+ US states, and the brand's been listed on the NYSE since May 2024.
It ain't legal everywhere, of course, but FanDuel's Sportsbook has been greenlit in plenty of different states. Currently, if you're in AZ, CO, CT, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MI, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, TN, VT, VA, WV, WY or DC, I found you're all good to place bets via FanDuel's betting app or website β but only if you meet the brand's minimum age requirement of 21+. While of course, double-checking the site definitely has the right licence for your neck of the woods before betting here is a must.
FanDuel's like Fort Knox from a security standpoint, too. Their site is SSL-encrypted and utilizes some of the strictest ID verification measures that I, personally, have seen at an online sportsbook β with third party agencies routinely called in to confirm bettors' identities.
Whilst as you'd expect of a behemoth betting brand like this one, responsible gambling is taken dead seriously too, with a ton of self-limitation options and external support services only ever one click away from FanDuel's "Responsible Gaming" page.
Rest assured, then β these guys have got your back. And they support a ton of reputable payment options to boot.

Payment options up for grabs at FanDuel
Unsurprisingly, I found that FanDuel is legit when it comes to safe payments as well. It brings all sorts of trusted payment options to the table for both deposits and withdrawals, including VISA, MasterCard and Discover on the debit cards front, as well as PayPal for those of you who favor e-wallets. ACH/eCheck is supported too, as is Cash at Counter if you happen to live near a FanDuel retail venue. But sadly, there's no Apple or Google Pay just yet, I'm afraid. If low entry costs matter to you, it's also worth checking out our guide to minimum deposit sportsbooks.
Deposits are instant pretty much across the board, while withdrawal times are a bit like Derrick Fisher β fair and dependable, but not exactly lightning fast. Depending on your bank, ACH/eCheck can potentially take up to three business days, while PayPal cash outs can be processed in 24 hours or less, making the latter the best and fastest option for most bettors, IMHO.
FanDuel is legit not messing about with its customer support
Before I wrap things up and bid you folks farewell for the day, let's look at FanDuel's customer support β which to be fair knocks it completely out of the park as far as reliability goes.
What did my FanDuel review uncover on this front? Well, there are three main contact options available β live chat, email and a telephone hotline β and all work about as well as Cody Bellinger did in his first season with the Yankees.
Live chat is probably the most responsive option. I was pinged back within just a few minutes the first, second and third times I tested it. And the answers I received were genuinely helpful, too. Mind you, email certainly gets the job done if your query ain't two-minute drill urgent. Whilst the telephone hotline is a solid option, too, particularly if you're on Eastern Time, as it's aligned with FanDuel's NYC HQ. Although hours are extended to accommodate other customers, too.
If ever you're after info that's a bit more basic, I found the brand's site has a handy "How to Bet" page and an FAQs hub that you can fall back on for answers as well. Long story short, then, there are plenty of avenues for getting the info you need.

My FanDuel review's verdict β fun, user-friendly and packed full of features
Something tells me I haven't exactly been subtle here. But for those of you who didn't catch my vibe β I'm a huge FanDuel fan, and here's whyβ¦
For me, FanDuel is legit one of the best designed online sportsbooks around. It offers ample betting options, epic market coverage and utterly idiot-proof betting tools all neatly wrapped up into a user-friendly package that's also available as an app if you need one.
Don't get me wrong, the lack of a sportsbook-centric VIP program does kinda suck, and it would be nice to see Apple Pay and a few other e-wallets added to the site's payment options in the future, too. But ultimately, FanDuel remains one of the best online sportsbooks in the biz β both reputation and usability-wise.
And of course, right now you can grab a promo, most likely of the bet $5, get $250 variety by registering using my banner links on this page from an eligible US state. Just remember that offers may vary from place to place. Happy betting. You can also browse our best betting sites directory for more alternatives.

Is FanDuel any good for sports betting?
Absolutely. My FanDuel sportsbook review found the brand covers more than 16 different sports, a ton of individual leagues and events, and offers superb live betting and streaming opportunities in collab with their separate FanDuel TV app, too. Usability over here is proper, first-timer-friendly as well.
Is FanDuel legit?
FanDuel's rep is utterly top tier β they're listed on the NYSE and offer legal sports betting in more than 25 different US states, although the bonuses and market coverage up for grabs may vary a fair bit depending on which eligible part of the US you're betting from.
Does FanDuel offer live chat?
Yes, much like I found in my recent DraftKings review, FanDuel's customer support is on point. You can choose from live chat, an NY-aligned telephone hotline or email support if ever you need a helping hand. Whilst FanDuel's site has a handy FAQs section, too.
