Las Vegas Aces vs Dallas Wings Preview

The Las Vegas Aces enter this matchup at 10-3 and riding a six-game winning streak. They are also 5-0 in Commissioner's Cup play and can strengthen their position atop the Western Conference Cup standings with another victory. Las Vegas is coming off a 100-97 win over Minnesota in which A'ja Wilson finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds, Chelsea Gray scored 23 points with seven assists, and Jackie Young added 16 points and 10 assists.

The Aces lead this matchup with an average of 92.1 points per game while shooting 49% from the field. Wilson is producing 26.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, while Gray averages 6.8 assists. Las Vegas does have availability concerns, with Chennedy Carter out because of illness, Dana Evans sidelined by a leg injury, and Janiah Barker questionable with a leg issue.

The Dallas Wings enter at 8-5 after an 84-83 road loss to the Portland Fire. Arike Ogunbowale scored 22 points, Azzi Fudd added 18, and Jessica Shepard recorded 13 points and 14 rebounds. Dallas played without Paige Bueckers, who missed the game with an ankle injury after averaging a team-leading 19.8 points and 5.8 assists through her first 12 appearances.

Bueckers participated in Monday's shootaround but remained a game-time decision. Her availability is central to the handicap because Dallas operates with considerably more scoring and playmaking depth when she shares the floor with Ogunbowale and Fudd. Odyssey Sims remains out with an ankle injury.

Historic Head-to-Head Stats and Analysis

Dallas defeated Las Vegas 95-87 at College Park Center on May 28. Jessica Shepard produced a historic 22-point, 20-rebound, 10-assist triple-double, while Bueckers and Fudd also scored at least 20 points. That remains the Aces' most recent loss, with Las Vegas winning six consecutive games since leaving Arlington.

Older head-to-head results still favor Las Vegas, but the May meeting matters most because it reflects the current rosters. Dallas demonstrated that its rebounding and three-guard scoring can create problems for the Aces. Las Vegas now returns with a healthier rhythm offensively and Wilson playing at an MVP level, making a repeat Dallas victory difficult but far from impossible.

Game Thesis: Las Vegas has the stronger current form and should be favored to win, but Dallas has already shown it can match the Aces at College Park Center. If Bueckers plays without a meaningful restriction, the Wings have enough scoring and rebounding to remain within one possession. The game also has a clear path to a high total, with the teams combining for 182 points in their first regular-season meeting.

Moneyline Pick: Las Vegas Aces (-141)

The Aces are the preferred moneyline side because they enter with six consecutive wins and the league's more efficient offense. Wilson, Gray, and Young give Las Vegas several late-game creators, and the Aces have scored at least 100 points in three straight games. Dallas remains dangerous at home, especially if Bueckers returns, but Las Vegas has the stronger closing lineup and current momentum.

⭐ Best Bet - Spread Pick: Dallas Wings +3.0 (-114)

The Wings +3.0 is the best value if Bueckers is cleared to play. Dallas is 4-2 at home and already defeated Las Vegas by eight points in the first meeting. Shepard's rebounding, combined with the perimeter scoring of Bueckers, Ogunbowale, and Fudd, gives the Wings enough offensive paths to keep the game within one possession.

This pick should be reconsidered if Bueckers is ruled out or placed on a strict minutes limit. Without her, Dallas loses its leading scorer and primary facilitator, making it much more difficult to match the Aces' elite offense for four quarters.

Total Pick: Over 178.5 (+100)

The first meeting produced 182 total points, and both teams have continued to play at a high offensive level. Las Vegas averages 92.1 points per game, while Dallas averages 87.5. The Aces have reached 100 points in three consecutive games, and the Wings have enough scoring depth to contribute if Bueckers returns.

The number is high and creates little room for a prolonged scoring drought, but the matchup features multiple efficient creators, strong three-point shooting, and two teams comfortable playing at an elevated pace. A final in the 92-88 range would be enough to clear the total.

Top Player Prop Picks

Chelsea Gray Over 11.5 Points (-110) Gray enters after scoring 23 points and making six three-pointers against Minnesota. She has taken on a more aggressive scoring role during the Aces' winning streak, and Dallas' guard-heavy lineup should keep her involved as both a scorer and pick-and-roll creator.

Arike Ogunbowale Under 3.5 Assists (-138) Ogunbowale recorded only two assists against Portland and remains primarily a scoring option when Dallas has other ball-handlers available. If Bueckers returns, Ogunbowale can operate more frequently away from the ball, strengthening the Under. The prop becomes less attractive if Bueckers is ruled out and Ogunbowale is forced into additional creation duties.

NaLyssa Smith Over 16.5 Points + Rebounds (-125) Smith remains an important frontcourt contributor for Las Vegas and recently produced 12 points and 10 rebounds against Portland before adding 15 points against Minnesota. Dallas allows significant rebounding volume to opposing frontcourts, and the expected pace gives Smith several paths to clear this combined line.
