Vegas Golden Knights vs Boston Bruins Picks and Predictions for Monday, November 2, 2026
Boston needed overtime Saturday, but a 5-4 win over Chicago kept the Bruins first in the Atlantic Division. Boston is 10-4-1, with six wins in seven home games. Vegas hasn't enjoyed the same success, particularly in its own building. Friday's 5-2 loss to New Jersey left the Golden Knights at 9-5-1, second in the Pacific Division, with four defeats in five games. They meet at Boston's TD Garden at 7:00 pm ET on NHL Network. Vegas Golden Knights Need a Better Response
New Jersey spoiled Vegas' Friday night with a 5-2 victory at T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights never got their attack going. Three days earlier, the Golden Knights had beaten Ottawa 4-1, interrupting a poor stretch. Columbus edged Vegas 2-1 in overtime, and St. Louis and Tampa Bay each handed the Golden Knights 6-2 defeats. That's 20 goals conceded across five games, including the Ottawa victory. That is a difficult way to prepare for Boston, where the Bruins have troubled several visitors.
Jack Eichel has seven goals and 13 assists, giving him 20 points. Mark Stone has scored nine times, including three on the power play, while Mitch Marner has collected 13 assists. The Golden Knights convert 27.3% of their power plays, which could trouble Boston if penalties start piling up. Their own short-handed play is another matter, with opponents converting 30.6% of chances. Carter Hart has a .889 save percentage, and Adin Hill is at .891. Neither has been especially sharp during this stretch.
Injuries: Parker Wotherspoon is out.

Boston Bruins Finding Goals at Home
Chicago pushed Boston to the limit Saturday, forcing the Bruins to earn every bit of their victory. Boston gave up four goals at TD Garden before winning 5-4 in overtime. The result ended a two-game losing streak that included a 4-1 defeat in St. Louis and a 2-1 loss at Carolina. Before those road setbacks, the Bruins had beaten San Jose 6-4 and shut out Nashville 6-0. Boston keeps winning at home, even when the games become more complicated than expected.
David Pastrnak has eight goals and 11 assists through 15 games, and he's put 50 shots on net. Elias Lindholm has added five goals and seven assists, while James Hagens has five goals of his own. Boston is scoring 3.67 goals per game, despite averaging only 26.3 shots. Jeremy Swayman has posted a 2.35 goals-against average and .912 save percentage. Michael DiPietro has been even better in limited action at .929, offering another option.
Injuries: Boston has no injuries reported.
Key To The Game
Special teams could swing this matchup. Vegas has scored 12 power-play goals, and Boston's penalty kill is operating at 76.9%. The Bruins can answer with Pastrnak, but Vegas has struggled badly when shorthanded, killing only 69.4% of penalties. Eichel and Marner must create chances without leaving the Golden Knights exposed defensively. Boston also has the more convincing goaltending numbers. If the Bruins force Vegas into mistakes near its own net, those mistakes could turn into goals quickly.
Vegas Golden Knights vs Boston Bruins Game Pick
- Boston Bruins
Vegas can make any opponent uncomfortable when Eichel and Stone get opportunities, particularly on the power play. The bigger question is whether the Golden Knights can keep Boston from scoring. Vegas has allowed five or six goals in three of its last five games. Boston has been much stronger at home, and Swayman's numbers provide another advantage. Pastrnak should find chances against this defense. I'll take Boston to make it seven home wins in eight tries.
Vegas Golden Knights vs Boston Bruins Over/Under Pick
- Over
Boston's last home game finished with nine goals, while Vegas' loss to New Jersey produced seven. The Golden Knights also surrendered six against St. Louis and Tampa Bay. Both clubs have dangerous power plays, and neither penalty kill has been particularly reliable. Swayman could slow Vegas down, but Eichel and Stone are capable of contributing. With Pastrnak leading Boston's attack and Vegas struggling to contain opponents lately, I expect goals at both ends. Over is my pick.
