Warriors vs. Spurs prediction

Golden State Warriors (7-6) vs. San Antonio Spurs (8-3)

The Emirates NBA Cup 2025 betting action continues Friday, November 14, with the West Group C showdown at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, TX, so we have prepared the Warriors vs. Spurs prediction to get you covered.

The Warriors take on the Spurs for the second time this season. Just two days ago, Golden State beat San Antonio 125-120 at Frost Bank Center. The Warriors upset the odds as 3.5-point underdogs, and the game flew over the 232.5-point line.

Let’s take a closer look at this Warriors vs. Spurs prediction, one of our NBA picks for Friday’s card. The tip-off is set at 9:30 PM ET, and the Spurs open as 2.5-point favorites with a total of 234.5 points.

The Warriors need another big game for Steph Curry

The Golden State Warriors (7-6; 7-6 ATS; 9-4 O/U) started their 2025-26 campaign with four wins in their first five games. Since then, the Warriors have gone 3-5 SU and ATS. They even managed to lose against the lowly Indiana Pacers 114-109 on the first day of November.

Last Wednesday, the Warriors overcame a 16-point deficit in San Antonio. Steph Curry went off for 46 points, and the Warriors outscored the Spurs 43-28 in the third quarter. Jimmy Butler was excellent, too, posting a line of 28 points, eight assists, six rebounds, and three steals, while Moses Moody had 19 points.

The Warriors dropped 21 triples on the Spurs but scored just 22 points in the paint. Golden State leads the NBA in 3-point rate (.500) and ranks 12th in 3-point percentage (37.0%). Yet, the Warriors score just 113.9 points per 100 possessions (23rd in the league) while yielding 113.5 points in return (tied for 9th).

Golden State is 0-1 in the NBA Cup. The Warriors lost at the Denver Nuggets 129-104 this past Friday.

Key Injuries for Golden State:

  • F Jonathan Kuminga (knee) is day-to-day.

The Spurs look to get back on track

The San Antonio Spurs (8-3; 5-6 ATS; 7-4 O/U) put an end to their three-game winning streak with that narrow defeat against the Warriors. After a couple of home wins over the Houston Rockets 121-110 and the New Orleans Pelicans 126-119 and a 121-117 road victory against the Chicago Bulls, the Spurs suffered their first home loss of the season.

San Antonio outscored Golden State 52-22 in the paint, but an awful third-quarter performance cost the Spurs a victory. Victor Wembanyama posted a triple-double of 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. However, he committed a whopping eight turnovers. Stephon Castle triple-doubled with 23 points, 10 boards, and 10 dimes, while De’Aaron Fox scored just 13 points to go with five dishes and six turnovers.

The Spurs tally 118.8 points per 100 possessions (7th in the NBA) and surrender 112.0 points in return (6th). They are 14th in the league in 3-point rate (.411) and 15th in 3-point percentage (35.7%). The Spurs make 59.4% of their 2-pointers (3rd), mostly thanks to Wembanyama.

San Antonio is 1-0 in the NBA Cup. The Spurs beat the Houston Rockets 121-110 this past Friday.

Warriors vs. Spurs Pick

Spread Pick for Warriors vs. Spurs

  • San Antonio Spurs -2.5 (5 units)

Frankly, this game could easily go either way. We will see another tight battle between the Warriors and Spurs, and I think San Antonio will have more energy in this one. The Spurs are young and hungry, and that could make a difference.

The Warriors cannot contain Victor Wembanyama in the paint. On the other side, the Spurs’ 3-point defense has struggled a lot this season. That’s a problem in a game like this one.

The Spurs are a great rebounding team. Again, mostly thanks to Wembanyama. Hopefully, De’Aaron Fox will play better than he did two days ago. The Spurs need to force Steph Curry to work hard on the defensive side of the ball.

Over/Under Pick for Warriors vs. Spurs

  • Over 234.5 (5 units)

Both teams play at a steady pace. The Warriors register 100.6 possessions per 48 minutes (15th in the NBA), and the Spurs record 99.5 (21st). Golden State heavily leans on 3-pointers, while the Spurs torture their rivals in the paint, so I’m looking for another high-scoring affair.

The over has hit in four of the Warriors’ last five games overall and nine of their previous 10 outings on the road. Each of the Spurs’ last six contests overall has gone over the total, so I have to ride the betting trends.
